Dinner and a movie? That sounded like fun. And Jake was definitely up for a night on the town. He pulled up his pants and buttoned them, setting his shirt over them once he was done. “Sounds great! What movie is it?” Jake thought about the titles that were currently out and in theaters; it had been a while since he last went to the movies, usually waiting until the titles came out via Redbox or possibly on Netflix. Such is life when he didn’t have much time on his hands. “What’re we waiting for?” Jake slipped on his shoes and gave a goofy smile. “I’m really looking forward to this too!” 

Norman shook his head and chuckled softly. “You have to wait and see, I’m not telling you.” Norman grabbed one of his shirts and handed it to Jake and smirked. “Put that on, it would go better with where we are going. Not that you don’t look good, just like seeing you trying to not drown in my shirt.” He chuckled and smirked at the other. “So, how about we get you dressed and get to the car, otherwise we are going to be late.” He spoke as he walked towards the door, opening the door and waiting for Jake.

“You…have a son?” He held Norman’s hand in both of his, wondering why he was too nervous to look up. “Is that it? Is that why you disappeared? Oh Norman, why didn’t you just tell me?” He reached out to grip Norman’s chin, turning his face toward him and smiling warmly. “I love kids. And I’d love to meet him. If he looks just like you he must be the cutest little thing!” He scooted closer to Norman and nuzzled his neck, staying close to him for warmth. He was always so warm. “I know you had a life before I met you, I’m not weird like some people who would view that as deal breaker. I’ve always wanted kids myself, so I really don’t mind. He’s not something to be ashamed of. And here I was worried something really serious happened.”

Norman was honestly surprised that the other thought that, his son was his big secret, but he didn’t say anything, he just let it be. He was sure he can tell the other the real issue later on, but he was glad to have Don knowing he had a kid. “He’s why you’ve never been in my house Don.” Norman chuckled and sighed softly. “I’m not ashamed of him, he just seems to turn people away, so I decided to see if you liked me before you found out, so you wouldn’t run right away, like everyone else.” He shrugged and grabbed Don’s hand, smirking a little. “So, how bout we go back to your place? Damian is at his aunts for the summer. Which is why I was gone for a while.”
